Singing and Piano teacher Donna Cain has an absolute passion for music. She is keen to
encourage the spark of talent in her students through the development of their technique, confidence and self expression.

Donna teaches all ages, from beginners through to expert level in singing, and
beginners to intermediate in piano.

A regular performer herself, Donna understands the demands of the industry and will encourage any student to reach their full potential, whether for their own enjoyment or as a professional musician.

Soprano Donna Cain trained extensively with international opera singers, including Prizrenka McCray (The Netherlands), Ann Howard (UK) and Amanda Thane (Australia). Donna has a Bachelor of Music degree, awarded from the University of New England; and a Bachelor of Arts (Visual Arts) from Sydney College of Advanced Education (City Art Institute). Donna learned piano from the age of 6.

Donna has performed for festivals and events, including Glebe Music Festival on three occasions, Concord Spring Fair, Campbelltown Cultural Festival and Ku-ring-gai Council’s Twilight Concert in the Park. Donna has performed the roles of Queen of the Night in the Magic Flute, Marsinah in Kismet, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance and Siebel in Faust. Other experience includes adjudicating for Eisteddfods, such as the 2012 Nowra Song & Stage Festival.

In August 2015, Donna performed a solo of Bach/Gounod’s Ave Maria with a 62-piece symphony orchestra for Peace Concert 2015 held at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Donna sings for corporate functions, events and as a professional cantor in churches.

Donna has sung live on Radio 2GB three times, on the Chris Smith show, most recently in 2021
